UA (Unmanned Aircraft) Registration in Two Steps
From 2 April 2020, it will be an offence to operate an unregistered UA with a total weight of above 250 grams in Singapore.
To save yourself some trouble, do get your aircraft (e.g. remote controlled drones, airplanes, gliders, helicopters) registered before then! We have summarized how to register your UA here. Do check them out.
*** Please go to (https://www.caas.gov.sg/public-passengers/unmanned-aircraft/ua-regulatory-requirements) and look for 'user identification wizard' link to check if you need to register your UA, or require any training, permit or licence for your intended UA activity. ***
UA registration in 2-steps
1) Purchase of a registration label (online or designated post office)
2) Completion of online registration via UA Portal
A Registration fee of $15 applies for each registration label.
For more information, go to https://www.caas.gov.sg/public-passengers/unmanned-aircraft/ua-regulatory-requirements/ua-registration
You may also use the user identification wizward from above link to determine what you need to apply or not.
If the above seems too overwhelming, skip the hassle by getting drones lesser than 250 grams. They would likely be just as much fun, albeit in a smaller package!
